The racecourse area for PR2 in Naples has been published, and anyone planning to watch the nine AC40s from the water needs to act now. All vessels must be registered via the official form, and skippers are required to read and fully comply with the published regulations before heading out.
Designated zones for on-water spectators have been established, and marshals will be present to guide and manage the spectator fleet. Comply with their instructions.
A strict no wave, no wash policy applies across the racecourse area, with a 5-knot speed limit in force. Additional restrictions include no swimming, no anchoring, and no drone flying within the area. These rules are in place to protect the AC40s as well as everyone else on the water.
Official race days are Friday 25, Saturday 26, and Sunday 27 September, with racing scheduled between 1400 and 1600 CEST each day. Spectator vessels should aim to be in the designated viewing areas by 1330 hrs.
Three races are planned per day on a tight racecourse in the Bay of Naples. It can be a long day on the water, so plan accordingly.
