Few water toys are designed with the mothership in mind. The Flite AIR x Axopar eFoil board sets out to change that, emerging from a collaboration between Flite and Axopar aimed specifically at boat owners rather than beach riders. The board made its public debut as a prototype at Boot Düsseldorf 2026 in Germany, built on Flite's AIR platform but rethought to suit life aboard a boat.
Flite president Nick Stickler was direct about the thinking behind the partnership. "Together, we are combining that innovation to offer Axopar owners a premium, integrated eFoil solution that feels engineered into the boat from day one, rather than added on later."
Axopar founding partner Jan Erik Viitala sees the combination as genuinely expanding what a day on the water can offer. "With the boat as your base, you can reach new environments, explore further, and enjoy the water in ways that simply aren't possible without combining these two worlds."
Anyone who has wrestled water toys around a crowded cockpit will appreciate that the Flite AIR x Axopar has been designed with those frustrations in mind. A secure bungee system, a branded dry bag, attachment points for tying off alongside the boat, and a forward gear strap for small items all address the practical demands of storing and deploying kit at sea rather than on a calm beach.
The board is also built to handle rougher treatment than a typical eFoil. Both the deck and nose are reinforced, and dedicated grab points make lifting and handling the board on deck more manageable. Visually, it takes its cues from Axopar's established design language, with the deck pad featuring laser cut seafloor topography inspired by the Finnish archipelago of Kasnäs.
Preorders are set to open during Boot Düsseldorf 2026, with serial production scheduled for autumn 2026 (NZ) and first deliveries to follow shortly after. Buyers will have three routes to ownership: as an option with a new Axopar, through selected Axopar dealers, or directly through Flite's website.
