XINSURANCE has signed on as title partner of the newly designated XINSURANCE UIM World Championship Series and presenting sponsor of the Key West finale, backing the three-class world championship structure Race World Offshore launched with the UIM this year.
Race World Offshore (RWO) has named XINSURANCE title partner of the newly designated XINSURANCE UIM World Championship Series, and presenting sponsor of the Key West Offshore World Championships, the season finale. XINSURANCE also continues its existing support of two national rounds, the Great Lakes Grand Prix in Michigan City and the Clearwater Offshore Nationals. Each host event retains its own identity, with XINSURANCE branding the championship series as a whole.

How the championship works
The deal comes in the first season of RWO's multi-year licensing agreement, formally executed with UIM Events in April. UIM Offshore Class I, Class II and APBA Super Cat will race for designated UIM world championships together in North America.
"For the first time ever, three classes, UIM Offshore Class I, UIM Offshore Class II and APBA Super Cat, will race for designated UIM world championships, with each champion honored at the UIM Annual Awards Ceremony in Monaco," said Larry Bleil, RWO president.
The championship route runs through Atlantic City, Michigan City and Clearwater before the finale in Key West, where the Offshore World Championships count as two championship rounds and will decide all three titles. Key West is described in RWO's own material as the most popular offshore powerboat racing event in the United States.
The XINSURANCE helicopter will fly at each event for live aerial coverage, streamed on RWO's Facebook and YouTube channels and on the XINSURANCE Sports YouTube channel.
