WinTech, King, and Stellar boats are now manufactured under a significantly upgraded sustainability framework, following a multi-million dollar investment at the brands' 500,000 square foot production facility.

The centrepiece of the upgrade is a 19,000 square metre solar array across the factory roof, generating 3.1 megawatts of power. The system offsets the majority of the facility's energy consumption, supporting a net-zero carbon output renewable energy target.

Air quality is managed through a centralised dual air cleaning system that captures volatile organic compounds using active carbon filtration. A separate exhaust filtration system removes 100 percent of emissions from the production paint booths, with no air pollution from the facility entering the atmosphere.

Water used in production is recycled through an internal filtration system in a closed loop, with no contaminated water returned to the wider water supply.

The investment is relevant context for an industry where boat building has historically produced significant environmental byproducts, including aerosols, paint residue, and carbon and fibreglass dust, which can enter waterways and affect wildlife if not properly controlled.
