The Spirit 2 electric outboard from ePropulsion has picked up a place on Boating Industry Magazine's 2026 Top Products list, recognised alongside 49 other products selected by the publication's editorial team.
Now in its 13th year, the Top Products awards programme is organised and judged entirely by the Boating Industry editorial team. To qualify, products must have been introduced or significantly updated since January 2025. Selection criteria include innovation, industry impact, and how well a product advances technology within its category.

Tom Watson, president of ePropulsion Americas, said: "We're grateful to the team at Boating Industry for selecting the Spirit 2 as one this year's Top Products. Spirit 2 represents the next evolution of ePropulsion's compact electric outboard technology, and we're thrilled with the recognition its garnering across the industry. It reflects not only the performance of Spirit 2, but our entire team's long-term commitment to delivering practical, high-impact electric solutions that carry the marine industry into the future."
The Spirit 2 is built around a 2kW motor with a 3kW Boost Mode for situations demanding extra thrust. The motor unit weighs 23.5 pounds and pairs with a 23-pound battery, connected via a quick-connect system. The tiller folds down for transport, and a detachable clamp makes getting the unit on and off the transom straightforward.
Practical on-water features include shallow water trimming, 90-degree tilt, an integrated steering lock, and a safety kill switch. The 1539Wh quick-connect battery is described as the largest in its class and is designed to be carried separately from the motor.
