The Ventura Series from Scanstrut has won an iF DESIGN AWARD 2026, one of the more recognised international design honours, presented by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany. The award has run since 1954.
The Ventura Series was selected in the Product Design discipline, Automobiles category, chosen from more than 10,000 submissions across 68 countries by a jury of 129 independent design experts. Other winners in the automotive category included Ferrari, Volvo, Thule, Nissan, and Mazda.
The Ventura Series is a range of compact utility sockets developed for RV, overland, and van conversion manufacturers, covering 12V power, USB-C, solar, water, TV, and mains connections. All variants share a consistent, low-profile form factor with standardised cut-out dimensions to simplify OEM installation.
Sockets carry IP68 and IP69K waterproof ratings, fully sealed against dust, heavy rain, and high-pressure washdowns. Hardware is marine-grade 316 stainless steel, and materials are UV-resistant. A spring-loaded, click-shut lid with a 90-degree hold feature provides protection while the socket is in use.
