Rayglass is taking its newest models on the road this September, giving boaties in two coastal centres the chance to get up close with the latest launches. The Rayglass Roadshow will feature one-day sessions in Whitianga and Tauranga, with guided tours and sea trials on offer for anyone wanting to see how the new models handle on familiar water. Spaces are limited, so securing a booking early is essential.
Whitianga Marina plays host on Saturday 13 September, with the roadshow moving south to Tauranga Bridge Marina the following day, Sunday 14 September. Both stops are aimed squarely at hands-on boaties who want to see how the latest Rayglass models perform on their own coastline.
The centrepiece of the roadshow is the Legend 2700, which made its public debut at the Hutchwilco Boat Show in May. The new model draws on nearly two decades of owner feedback gathered around its most celebrated predecessor, the 2500, the company's most awarded model. Rayglass has taken what works and refined it further, fitting a new flat windscreen, increasing headroom through the cabin and toilet area, expanding the galley, and adding more storage throughout. The core qualities the brand is known for, strength, safety, and comfort, remain firmly intact. Engine options span a wide range, from a 270hp diesel inboard through to a 400hp V10 outboard, giving buyers meaningful flexibility depending on how they use their boat.
Alongside the Legend 2700 sits the Rayglass 3000, a nine-metre vessel pitched at those who want to get the most out of a weekend on the water. Its deep-vee hull is fitted with Zipwake trim control, and the layout centres on a spacious hardtop paired with a generous forward cabin complete with a full galley and toilet. Rayglass describes the 3000 as the "ultimate weekend cruiser," and its design backs that up, with fishing, water sports, and overnighting all well within its scope. Twin outboards or a single diesel inboard are both on the options list.
