Oxford women ended a nine-year wait for Boat Race glory on Saturday 4 April 2026, while Cambridge men made it four consecutive victories on the Tideway. Both races were rowed in some of the most windy and choppy conditions in recent Boat Race memory.
The 80th Women's Boat Race saw Oxford beat Cambridge by three lengths in a time of 19:15, closing the overall Women's series gap to 49-31.
Cambridge won the 171st Men's Boat Race by three and a half lengths in a time of 17:57, extending their all-time series lead to 89-81.
This year's squads included returning Blues, Olympic medallists, international representatives, and standout newcomers.
Cambridge won both reserve races, which were held between the two main events. The full event was raced as The CHANEL J12 Boat Race 2026.
