New Zealand's rowing squad for the 2026 World Rowing Championships has been named, with the team heading to Amsterdam, Netherlands for the event running 24 to 30 August. The squad departs on 9 August.
The women's coxless four of Alana Sherman, Isla Blake, Kate Haines, and Ella Cossill are all drawn from Waikato Rowing Club, coached by Tom Stannard. Stannard also takes charge of the women's coxless pair, where Katie Lush (Waikato) and Juliette Lequeux (Otago University Rowing Club) will race together.
James Coote coaches the women's quad of Olivia Hay, Stella Clayton-Greene, Rebecca Leigh, and Veronica Wall, and the women's double scull of Eva Hofmans and Sophie Egnot-Johnson, both of Waikato Rowing Club.
The women's eight brings together athletes already named across the smaller boats: Hay, Blake, Sherman, Wall, Clayton-Greene, Leigh, Cossill, and Haines, steered by cox Harry Molloy of North Shore Rowing Club, with Stannard and Coote sharing coaching duties.
On the men's side, Ben Taylor and Oliver Welch of Avon Rowing Club are named in both the coxless pair and the eight, coached throughout by Mike Rodger. The men's coxless four of Matt Macdonald, Oliver Maclean, Fred Vavasour, and Harry Fitzpatrick also feeds into the eight, which is completed by Joshua Vodanovich, Campbell Crouch, and cox Oliver Duncan.
Ben Mason and Finn Hamill will contest the men's double scull under the coaching of Mike Rodger and Nick Barton. The mixed double sculls selection remains to be confirmed.
Kathryn Glen of Avon Rowing Club travels as the squad's reserve. Alice Fahey and Arie Magasiva of Star Boating Club and Oscar Ruston of Waikato Rowing Club are named as non-travelling reserves, with Lisa Holton managing the team.
