Six years passed between Marc Newson's initial digital concept and NAUSICAÄ's emergence from the yard, with Lürssen confirming that not a single detail changed throughout that entire period. From the sweep of her exterior lines to the smallest interior fitting, every element of the vessel carries the unmistakable hand of the Australian designer.
Several interior spaces distinguish the yacht from anything else afloat. A large glass Skydome, fabricated from custom-bent sections of thick glass, crowns a private owner's study and delivers unobstructed 360-degree panoramic views. A split-level gallery and a glass-encased observation lounge positioned in the bow rank among the most striking spaces aboard.

The aft deck centres on a swimming pool and Jacuzzi arrangement. Further aft, a full dry dock houses a 12.5-metre sportfish tender, deployed and recovered by way of a bespoke sledge system engineered to retract completely out of sight. Once stowed, that space transforms into a sheltered al fresco area for guests.
NAUSICAÄ holds an Ice Class 1D rating, giving her the capability to operate in light ice conditions. That rating, combined with her extended range, means she can reach all five major oceans and all seven continents. She also carries a research installation of a methanol fuel cell, converting methanol to hydrogen for the generation of onboard electricity.
The yacht's completion carries additional significance for the yard, arriving as Lürssen marks its 150th anniversary. "There are some yachts that leave an indelible mark on our history," said Peter Lürssen. "NAUSICAÄ is undoubtedly one of those."
