The virtual aids being removed span a wide range of Auckland waters, covering isolated danger markers, cardinal beacons, and lights at locations including Simpson Rock, Horn Rock, The Pigeons, Channel Island, Flat Rock, Anchorite Rock, The Noises, Ahaha Rocks, and Shearer Rock. Reference points designated New Alpha PS and New Bravo PS are also among those being disestablished.
Mariners are advised to use alternative navigation aids and methods whenever transiting any area previously marked by one of these virtual symbols.
