A Key West sign and print shop with three decades behind it has joined the sponsor lineup for the 2026 Race World Offshore World Championships, running November 1 to 8 at Truman Waterfront Park & Race Village, the venue that hosts the Duval Street boat parade and three race days through the harbour.
Signs Unlimited has been operating in the Florida Keys since 1996, and this year marks 30 years in business. The family owned shop started small, in a Tallahassee apartment, back when signage still meant painting by hand.
The business looks very different today.
As the print industry shifted, Signs Unlimited shifted with it, becoming one of the first print shops in the country to run a Roland printer and moving well beyond hand-painted boards. In 2009 the operation relocated to the Florida Keys and expanded into a full service sign and print shop, the kind that can turn around everything from vehicle wraps to business cards.
Owner and lead installer Bryce Johnston now runs the team from the shop at 5700 4th Avenue in Key West. Work covers wraps and decals, signage, logo design, apparel and more. Projects can be seen on Instagram at @signsunlimited.
During race week, that kind of work matters more than it might elsewhere. Truman Waterfront Park fills with wrapped raceboats in the pits and sponsor banners along the waterline, part of what gives Key West race week its visual character.
The shop makes a direct case for wraps over paint, particularly for boats and trucks working under the Keys sun. UV rays and debris take a toll on paint over time, and a wrap offers a layer of protection against both. It also turns a vehicle into a rolling advertisement, with no ongoing ad spend required.
Wraps are fully customisable, with unlimited colour and finish combinations available to match a brand or a personal style. Unlike paint, they can be removed or swapped out without damaging the surface underneath.
Signs Unlimited joins a sponsor roster that has grown well beyond the marine trade this season. Race World Offshore recently welcomed Last Key Realty as the event's official vacation rental manager and an Illinois HVAC and architectural metals contractor backing the Key West finale. For those following the Key West build-up from afar, the sponsor list is a reminder of how much local groundwork, long-standing businesses and race village infrastructure sit behind the spectacle of race week itself.
