Mark, son of Bill and Hazel Gibbs, leaves behind his beloved children Anna Williams and Sandy Gibbs, along with his siblings John Gibbs, Susan Ham, Brent Boyce, and Janet Fenemor. His impact on the sailing world and the hearts of those around him was immeasurable.

A Flotilla Tribute
In a heartfelt tribute to Mark, a flotilla of boats will gather on

to honour his legacy on the water. The event will take place on the
west side of the bay head
, with participants looping around in a unified line and pausing in front of John Jackson’s house, where Anna and family will be watching from the balcony. Sailors are asked to congregate by 6:00 pm and communicate via VHF, channel 77. This symbolic gesture of unity and remembrance will celebrate Mark’s love for the sea and his immense contributions to the community.
