Will Smith's racing team has surged to the top of the UIM E1 World Championship standings after claiming victory at the E1 Lake Como GP 2026 presented by Villa d'Este.
Angola Westbrook Racing pilots Sara Price and Lucas Ordóñez delivered the team's second win on Lake Como, repeating their 2024 victory on the same water. Price picked up damage in the early stages and required repairs before the team could mount their charge.
Despite that disruption, the pair took first place in both Final 1 and Final 2.
John Peeters, piloting for Virat Kohli's Team Blue Rising, was the standout performer across the day. The American arrived at the event sitting at the bottom of the Championship but produced two exceptional starts from the outside lane to lead in two consecutive races, earning him the PIF Pilot of the Day Award and second place overall in the Finals.
Team Brady's Sam Coleman brought the Brady E1 RaceBird home in third after teammate Emma Kimiläinen was forced out of Final 1 following a collision with a course mark. The result leaves Team Brady just three points behind Westbrook, with 14 points covering the top four teams.
Smith's reaction came quickly in the team owner group chat. "Finally! That one felt good," he wrote, before joking: "Wait, why's Brady declining my calls?" LeBron was among the first to congratulate his E1 rival, responding: "Congratulations Will, amazing job by your team."
Off the water, the Como round marked the first live E1 experience for new Sierra Racing Club co-owners Thibaut Courtois and Kyle Kuzma. The Real Madrid goalkeeper received a warm welcome in the team owner group chat, with Brady and Aoki leading the reception. Aoki wrote: "My brother Thibaut!! Welcome to the club!!" Brady's greeting invoked Courtois's famous nickname: "The Wall! Thibaut!! Join the party."

New Zealander Micah Wilkinson's Team Drogba did not feature among the results from Como. The series heads next to Dubrovnik for the third round of the season.
